\u00a0Below is a collection of past season Sioux City High School (Jr. Musketeers\/Metros) game jerseys and the
\ndifferent styles over the seasons.\u00a0 Also featured are the players who wore them and a showcase of their hockey
\naccomplishments both on and off the ice.<\/span><\/p>\n

SYHAstuff would be very interested in adding your jersey to this history collection. Each jersey is photographed,
\ndocumented and\u00a0then returned to you immediately.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n


\nWith the initial start of both the USHL Musketeers and the SYHA Program, both teams developed a close affiliation. Both groups
\nneeded each other to <\/span>survive their start-up periods. In 1972 both the Musketeers and Jr. Musketeers programs were both newly
\nformed organizations. The High School team <\/span>would be known as the Jr. Musketeers for the next seven seasons.<\/span><\/p>\n

This season the first official IHSHL State Tournament
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

The Sioux City Kiwanis Club<\/strong> would sponsor the\u00a0first high school team as well as several other various SYHA youth teams.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nNew jerseys this season are the old Musketeer jerseys.\u00a0 The round Musketeer logo is removed and the front of the jersey is left blank.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nThis season The Jr. Musketeers jerseys receive the two-colored chain-stitched “Sioux City” on the front (see below). Yellow letters
\noutlined by green. The white jerseys <\/span>have no shoulder numbers while the green jerseys do.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\nIn 1980-81 the Jr. Musketeers name was replaced; now called the Sioux City Metro, the name was thought to best represent
\nthe overall make-up of both players on the high school team and those involved in local youth hockey organization.<\/span><\/p>\n

A new jersey style and logo are utilized this season. The jerseys are a heavy mesh material with square shoulder yokes and<\/span>
\nsleeve and body striping. A new logo with Metro with a SYHA under the blade.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nThis style team jacket was worn for several seasons during the early 80’s. This “letterman” style jacket was introduced in 1980
\nwhen high school hockey was starting to be accepted as a\u00a0Sioux City High School Sport.<\/i>\u00a0This style mirrored the traditional
\nhigh school letter jackets popular in that time. Flocked type material, thee color cuffs and leather accents at the shoulder. Sleeve
\nhad 3- year SYHA letter and additional years played. Front had chain-stitched name on right and four-year Varsity letter on left.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nPlays four total seasons for the Metros; after a pair of unsuccessful appearances in the State Championship game, the Metros
\nwould finally win their for ever State Title in 1991. T.J. eads the Metros in scoring this season with thirty-seven goals and
\nthirty-three assists; his seventy points is also second best among all league scorers. He is a multi-season Metros Team Captain
\n& top-two scorer,\u00a0 IHSHL All-Star and Chicago Showcase selection.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n


\n<\/span><\/b>
\nT.J. Reinsch<\/strong> becomes the Jr. Musketeers\/Metros all-time leading scorer. Having recorded 37 goals and 33 assists; his 70 points
\nduring the twenty-six game regular season, remains a high watermark. It has been challenged several times, but this high
\nremains unsurpassed. \u00a0His 1.42 goals per game and his 2.7 points per game remain the second highest among all
\nJr. Musketeers\/Metros scorers.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\ngoals and twenty-one following-up with sixteen goals and thirteen assists. He earned multiple selections the the League’s All-Star and

\nfollowing two seasons he would easily claimed the Metros top Heavy Hitter distinction recording 67 and 102 penalty minutes.<\/span>

Did You Know…<\/strong>after spending all this time in the penalty box, it was only fitting that Cody would become a USA Hockey official.
\nHe would eventually be asked to join the USA Hockey Officials Devenlpement Program (ODP) where he was a USHL official

\nThe Metros leading Penalty Minutes leader the last <\/span>two seasons and a top three finisher his sophomore season. <\/span>Following his senior
\nseason Cody would leave the dark side behind; joining the USA Hockey Officials Development Program (ODP). He <\/span>is currently in
\nhis fifth season as part of the Program and is working a steady schedule of NA3Hl and NAHL games. He has been selected<\/span>
\nto work several U18 National Tournaments. At the conclusion of the 17-18 regular season, Cody was one of a few officials making the cut<\/span>
\nfor NAHL play-off assignments. Cody would go on to become a USHL official for five seasons befor joining the US Air Force.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Tanner\u00a0 is back again as one of the Metros top scorers this final season, he leads the way in scoring netting 26 goals and 39 assists. His 65
\npoints was not only the Metros best this season, but the second highest in the MHSHL. His 39 assists in a single season if\u00a0 second highest
\namong all Metros players. Tanner would amass 172 varsity points wearing these jerseys, making him the second highest scorer in
\nJr. Musketeer\/Metro history. Tanner would also put together a mid-season scoring streak notching 26 points in ten games.<\/span><\/p>\n

This was his third season as a MHSHL All-Star and his second as an MHSHL All League player, as well as his second selection to<\/span>
\nthe America’s Showcase Team. Tanner is a Metros two-time\u00a0Most Valuable Player<\/b>, and is a just a handful of Metros players who<\/span>
\nwere top five High Scorers for three seasons in a row; his freshman year he would finish the season as a top three\u00a0junior varsity scorer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Player Update…<\/b>Tanner would go on to play a pair of seasons for the Alexandria Blizzard. He would see time in ninety-two regular

The Metros would advance to the 2018 USA Hockey National Tournament where they are again victorious, bringing home Sioux City’s first
\never such honor. Blake sees time in all six games; adding three assists to his\u00a0 pair of goals in the opening game against Manatee Florida

The following season Max would go on to be a part of the Metros MHSHL Regular\u00a0 & Post-season Championships as well as USA Hockey’s
\nNational Tournament Championship team. The Junior would lead the team with 98 penalty minutes finishing as the Metros top Heavy Hitter. Max
\nalso recorded eight goals, five assists and one game\u00a0winner against the Lincoln Stars. He also had a pair of multi goal affairs against the Dubuque
\nDevils and the Stars. He saw time in all six National Championship games; scoring a goal in a win over Manatee Florida\u00a0 and adding an assist
\nin another victory over\u00a0 Newark Ohio. He is expected to return next season as one of the Metros defensive corps leaders.<\/span><\/p>\n

Player Update…<\/b>Max’s senior season is filled with success. He is selected as one of the team Captains and leads the defensive corps
\nto the second fewest goals allowed in the league. He is a top three Metros scorer with nineteen goals, twenty-one assists and forty points
\nand sets several all-time scoring records.\u00a0 His nineteen goals and forty points in a single season is highest ever among all Jr. Musketeer\/Metros
\ndefenseman; his twenty-one assists in a single season and twenty-eight total goals is third best among all Sioux City defenseman. He will
